During the week of 10 – 14 February 2020, we took a trip to Mauritius to evaluate the possibilities of working with one of Africa’s most progressive countries. We met with manufacturers, distributors and the Chamber of Agriculture and gained valuable information and insight into the workings of the agricultural sector in Mauritius.
As sugarcane has always been the backbone of the Mauritian agricultural sector, the country has come to realise the value of diversification of products and exciting changes are taking place in the form of utilisation of crop diversification such as macadamia’s and hydroponics.
